Hi! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to check out my world! I wanted to use this section to give you some insight to who I am and the people who have impacted me throughout my journey. To begin, I am 26 going on 16! I refuse to grow up too fast and I always strive to find the fun in everything. I believe that life is full of little things that we can enjoy and that will fill our days with laughter. One of the main reasons why I view the world this way is because I have chosen some amazing people to surround myself with. These are people who make me better as a human and people who make me the happiest version of myself. These people have been with me through the most devastating parts of my life, to the most rewarding parts, which allows me to express my most genuine self to them. Most of these people came along later in my life, but of course there are those few that have known me the longest. I’ll start by introducing my sister. We grew up in Warner Robins, GA, where I lived until I left to attend college at Florida State University. Of course we had to go through our grumpy sisters’ stage, but in the end she is my go to person in all aspects of life. Chels has brought 3 beautiful, fun, and amazing kids into my life and I am such a proud aunt to of all of them. When I am not playing softball, I try to spend as much time with them that I can. For a period of time I was torn about leaving Warner Robins because I knew it meant I wouldn’t be able to see my niece and nephews as much, but with some help of my mom, they were all able to visit Tallahassee more frequently. Once I got to college, I was blessed every year with new friends that would become my life-long friends. It is amazing what kind of bond you make when you go through the experiences you do during college sports. There are times when you wake up and push your bodies to limits you never could even imagine, but somehow your teammates pull you through it. Along with my amazing teammates, I was lucky enough to find a person who gets me and balances me out better than I ever thought could be possible. He came along when I least expected it and I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to know him on the deepest levels. I have also been lucky enough to have some irreplaceable mentors In my life. My travel ball coach was my first. He believed in me and saw my potential even when I didn’t quite see it. In high school, my coach and art teacher were two women who kept me going on the path that got me where I am today. They did not let me think less of myself or let me settle into situations that weren’t particularly beneficial for what my future could hold. Now, when I got to college I had the opportunity to play for three amazing coaches. My head coach is someone who Ill never be able to repay for everything she did to for me. She showed me how to bring out my best qualities and gave me multiple opportunities that helped guide me into the person I never thought I could be. Lastly, my parents were a huge reason for why I am the way I am today. My parents got divorced when I was in ninth grade, and I found an outlet through the game of softball! It also brought about special times with my dad every Wednesday and on the weekends! To me, having my parents getting divorced allowed me to get to know each of them individually. I was given the opportunity to learn life lessons from both of them through their different perspectives! It also allowed me to become a well-rounded person because I had to allow myself to be ok with change and adversities at a young age! It was a tough time, but I do believe it shaped me and created a positive outlook on life that I would never have experienced if things played out differently. I am so thankful for the relationships that have come and gone in my lifetime, and I hope you all can relate to my story and meet extraordinary people throughout your lives. The best way to learn is from each other!
